Jan Juc Surf Life Saving Club is an inclusive, welcoming and family-oriented Club that supports and nurtures participation from all community members. From nippers through to life members, our Club’s focus is split equally between building community and safety in the water.

Nippers is about having fun, making lasting friendships, and teaching an appreciation and enjoyment of the ocean. Whatever the goal, be it simply to improve water safety and confidence, become a surf lifesaver or a champion iron athlete the program will teach the foundation skills needed.
Members who hold the Surf Rescue Certificate or Bronze Medallion and are 13+ years can compete in Youth/Senior carnivals.
There is a winter carnival season, which involves pool lifesaving and IRB competition, and a summer carnival season, which conducts the multi disciplinary events below. Carnivals for both seasons are conducted regularly throughout the state, culminating in the Victorian and Australian Championships.
The Jan Juc SLSC offer many opportunities for development within surf lifesaving.

Jan Juc Beach is patrolled by volunteer lifesavers and paid lifeguards throughout the summer. Volunteer lifesavers are trained and provided by Jan Juc SLSC. Paid lifeguards are trained by Life Saving Victoria and provided by the the Surf Coast Shire.
This is the holy grail. The Jan Juc Surf Club Wine Drive brings amazing wine from a 4.5 Star Halliday rated winery in Single Varietal 6 packs for $100 (less than $20 a bottle for great quality). We have a cool climate Shiraz (plum, blackberry, aniseed), a highly rated Geelong Pinot Noir and a Halliday rated 90 Point 2020 Pinot Gris (honeysuckle, pear, apple and lemon). Donations are always welcome and used to maintain rescue gear, purchase essential lifesaving services equipment, deliver training courses and provide quality lifesaving services.
